Grateful Dads at LDHS

Grateful Dads Lake Dallas High School is implementing the Grateful Dads program on January 23.

“We're asking the males in our community to devote one Monday morning or more a month to greet the students of LDHS from 7:40 – 8:15 at designated school entrances in an effort to an be active, visible, and positive male role model for our students,” Mr. John Modica, LDHS Assistant Principal said.

The mission of the Grateful Dads is to be an Active, Visible, and Positive male role model within Lake Dallas High School and the community.

  • Model and teach our LDHS students to make eye contact, extend a handshake, and respond with a warm smile and a "Good morning."
  • Allows students to see the caring nature and male support of our community as they enter school.
  • This program provides a way for LDHS dads to 'give a hand' with the kids at school.
